Range hood: PLFW 520.36 Black

“Our kitchen is sacred to us. We come from two cultures where family life orbits around the stove: Navajos, who traditionally lived in hogans with stoves quite literally at the center of the octagon-shaped homes, and Italians, whose family traditions are centered around the sharing of food.

Plus, my husband was the chef/owner of a restaurant in Puerto Rico for nine years. We wanted our new kitchen to incorporate all of these traditions plus the places we’ve been that have made us who we are. So, we completely renovated the kitchen on our own (completely new to DIY house work).

We got traditional talavera tiles from Mexico, Saltillo floor tiles reminiscent of the southwest, and professional quality appliances like our stove, good, and baking rack.

Our shelves are full of books and family heirlooms and plants that bring the room to life.” – Lauren

“Our custom home was built in 2008 and I wanted my kitchen to have a French country look. I selected terra-cotta backsplash, complementing granite counters, alder wood cabinets with contrasting painted distressed black prep island.

Initially, our range hood was designed out of wood and painted to complement the prep island. June 2023 I replaced the wooden range hood with a new stainless steel Proline range hood to give it a more updated and clean look. I am very happy with my new updated look in my French country kitchen!” – Kathleen

Range hood: PLJW 109.36

“We bought this house about 3 years ago and the range hood that came with the house was weak and hidden inside a wooden hood. Worse, it was designed for recirculation yet nowhere can a carbon filter, which is required for recirculate, be installed. It is a bad design all around. Every time we cooked, the whole house became a big kitchen. With the Proline range hood, not only it looks so much better and professional grade, but also much more powerful so the house no longer smells when we cook.

We took the opportunity to route the vent to outside the house so we don’t need to get a recirculate system anymore. I also love that the Proline hood is quiet and the LED lights are bright and energy saving. Cleaning the filters is also easy requiring only putting them in the dishwasher. All and all, it was a great decision to get the Proline range hood that looks great, efficient, and does a great job!” – Kenny

Range hood: PLFW 750.42

“Our Proline range hood is located in the foothills of Sequoia National Park. We built our home around our stove and Proline hood knowing that is where we would be spending most of our time while indoors. The kitchen is the heart of our home. Having Sequoia National Park in our backyard we are fortunate to be able to host (and cook for) scientists from all over the world who are involved in conservation efforts and protection of the giant sequoias, wildlife and everything big and small in between.

We also have been able to serve delicious meals with adventurers from all over the globe that come to experience the beauty of the park and all that it entails. We love to share our home. And love even more to share our kitchen with others.

Our meals that we serve to friends, family and strangers alike help foster and strengthen relationships. Most importantly, whether coming back from work, skiing in the mountains, taking a stroll around our neighborhood or meandering through the ancient giant forest we are always delighted to come back home and cook up a delicious meal.” – Rob
