Alexander Christopherson’s Simple Oven Upgrade Turns into Kitchen of Dreams with Proline

We remodeled our entire main floor over the last 8 months, including fully redoing the kitchen. The backsplash is inspired by mountains with our favorite cool color palette. The kitchen was the first thing we wanted to change in our house but when you give a mouse a cookie, they’re going to want a whole new house. Thus was our main floor remodel. What started as wanting double ovens turned into the giant project that we are so excited about and love. Thank you for the the proline hood that pulled many things together and at a really good price. The second picture is just an overview of the entire kitchen from one angle. The wall to cabinets actually contains a secret door into a large walk-in pantry. The glass pane door leads to our very family friendly mudroom. Thank you!

Hurricane Ida made landfall in Louisiana on August 29, 2021. When we returned home to assess the damage it was then that we realized that the upcoming year was about to be a very long and stressful one. During our rebuild, I approached my contractor with the idea of installing a vent hood above our range. Without even taking a breath, he immediately insisted on purchasing a Proline range hood. We did just that. We couldn’t have been any happier with our decision. The quality and performance of our Proline range hood has definitely exceeded our expectations. I am constantly recommending the Proline product line to anyone and everyone that I know and will continue to do so for years to come.

It has taken our range top cooking to a new, healthier and more indoor-environmentally sound level. We had been living in our house for twenty years with the original “wonder kitchen” from 1958 with mostly all original appliances. People walked in and said they felt they were in a time warp or like the old kitchen in Disney World!!! Over the years we have had many obstacles including a son with Autism and so our dollars went elsewhere. We are so thrilled with our new kitchen and the hood with the proline insert is a centerpiece!

My wife and I have been looking for a home for over 4 years, and finally this past April we were able to close on a beautiful home that needed a good bit of updating, especially when we found out we have a baby on the way. My wife and I love mid-century modern aesthetics, so when we decided to update the kitchen my wife’s main request was to have a custom hood vent cover, which her father laboriously built over a period of a couple weeks due to the limitations of our existing cabinets. In the end, though it turned out even better than expected and our proline range insert, with the built-in lighting and convenient fan settings, has been the highlight of the kitchen. I included the before picture as well so you can see what a difference adding the vented range hood from proline made to the overall layout and feel of the kitchen.

We updated our kitchen about a year ago. We bought our house about a year ago after selling our house of 42 years to be closer to family. We knew we would need to update the 1990’s kitchen and looked forward to it! Everything was a shade of brown – cabinets, countertops, and backsplash 🙁. So, we repainted the cabinets, replaced the countertops & backsplash, and replaced the cooktop and range hood. They were both electric – with the hood attached to the underside of a cabinet. We replaced the cooktop with a gas cooktop. With the gas cooktop, we knew we needed a quality range hood. So, we removed the old hood and cabinet, ran the backsplash to the ceiling, and we are now enjoying our new cooking center with the quality and convenience of our Proline Range Hood 😎
