Reviving a 1951 Kitchen with Caleb Lande and Proline

When it came time to remodel the galley kitchen in our 1951 vintage home, I decided to go the extra mile but also keep our budget in mind. As a former drywall/paint contractor and experienced home renovator, knew exactly what I wanted in a kitchen. Solid wood cabinets, clean, simple lines, and most of all, function. After working with a close friend to custom build our cabinets, the search was soon on for a powerful, yet compact range hood. 

After exhausting my options at local brick-and-mortar retailers, some online research led me to Proline Range Hoods. Since my project took place during the heart of the pandemic, supply-chain issues were an issue throughout the process. Proline customer service helped me work through various options to find an in-stock option that fit my needs perfectly, all at a price I was thrilled with! Now that the project is finished, we couldn’t be happier with our choice. Our fan (model PLFW 115.30) quickly expels smoke, odors, and heat from our kitchen. From Vision to Reality: Emily Hicks’ Culinary Sanctuary

Being in the kitchen creating and baking has always been in me. Both of my parents were exceptional cooks and bakers, and I learned and am still learning so much from them. The kitchen has always been my sanctuary to unwind and de-stress over an old recipe or something completely new that might just make it into my recipe book of winners. Our new kitchen remodel started only a few months ago, but it has been in my head for over 20 years.

And now that it’s completed I find myself standing and staring in awe of the beauty and functionality of it, and the fact that the dream is now a reality. It is everything I have ever wanted and could ever want in a self-proclaimed chef’s kitchen. 

Knowing that I would be going with a powerful Wolf range top I knew that I needed to choose a range hood that was equally just as powerful. And I never really understood that all range hoods are not created equal until I fried up some bacon for the first time. It was no problem for my Proline range hood and neither I nor my house smelled a bit like bacon.

Ann and Her Husband’s Kitchen Dream: Spacious, Functional, and Elegant with Proline

My husband and I both love to cook. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen and work really well together. Our old kitchen was small and it was hard not to be tripping over one another… we made it work, but dreamed of having more space. 

When it came time to design our new kitchen we both had certain things that we wanted. My husband’s biggest dream was a high btu gas range with a ‘big’ range hood. I knew that because we had the peaked ceiling, that the range hood needed to be the focal point, and be centered at that peak. We set out to make that happen. The Proline range hood was the best option. 

It not only has great looks but fits the bill for our needs because it is a real powerhouse with 1200 CFM. It is also quiet enough that we can carry on a conversation while it is running. A Safer, More Convenient Kitchen: Jay Alberghini’s Proline Upgrade

Renovated kitchen with safety and convenience in mind. My wife is short and leaning over the range to put food into or turn on the range microwave/vent fan was dangerous and difficult. We needed to eliminate her leaning over pots of boiling water and accidentally activating range burners with her body. 

We replaced the microwave/vent with a Proline Under Cabinet Range Hood PLJW185.30 and installed an under-countertop microwave. The Proline Hood has made using the relocated microwave less strain and safer for my wife. Also since the Proline Hood extends further from the wall it is more efficient in removing cooking odors and heat at low speed than the previous microwave/vent did on high speed and my wife does not have to reach as far over the range to turn on the Proline fan or generous led lights.

From Tired to Inspired: Gigi Bainbridge’s Kitchen Renovation with Proline

The best way to maintain our mental and physical health during retirement has been to renovate our very tired kitchen and home. The kitchen was falling apart, wall by wall, appliance by appliance, just aching for attention. Being a person who loves to cook and entertain, the kitchen was of paramount import. Our other homes had less than acceptable ventilation and cooking smells always lingered, not in a good way. Here we were determined to do it right by adding the best ventilation not just to do the job but to look good while doing it. 

The hood was the final appliance we installed and it created a visually striking presence in our kitchen. Best of all, our old hood was so loud, the practical jokers could sneak up behind me in our old house and deliberately scare me because I couldn’t hear them coming. A Labor of Love: The Wyatt Family’s Journey to a Dream Kitchen with Proline

My family moved to our current home a year and a half ago. Having recently completed a kitchen remodel in our last home, we were eager to do the same to this one. Within months, my wife got started working on a new design and by January this year, we ordered cabinets from a local shop. Immediately after delivery in early Spring we demo’d and began installation. We were fortunate to have my Father-in-Law help with the heavy lifting.

He even worked with my wife to design and build the hood cover for our 40-inch PLJL wall range hood insert! Similar to the cabinets, I completed the finish work. Between commitments to my full-time desk job, young children, and intermittent delays in various trim and backsplash materials, we just finished the kitchen in its entirety. We love the kitchen as a whole and the vent hood in particular is so quiet and functional! 

We could immediately experience an improvement not just over the combination microwave vent hood unit it replaced, but also compared to the dedicated vent hood we had purchased for our previous house (another brand). A Kitchen Reborn: Chris Gaddy’s Journey to Gourmet Perfection with Proline

The original kitchen was overdue for a face-lift. After twenty three years of having two down draft stoves, laminate countertops, worn out cabinets and vinyl flooring, it was time. Upgrades are a priority when our family cooks exquisite meals six days a week.

Replaced hateful gas downdraft stove with a commercial six burner WOLF. Brought in quartz countertops for durability. Continued hardwood flooring throughout the kitchen and dining area. PROLINE came into the remodel when exhaust was our main priority. 

We needed a product that was reliable, functional and aesthetically pleasing. After talking to individuals PROLINE was exactly what we needed. Overall, the project took longer than expected but very pleasurable when I did a lot of the labor.

A Breath of Fresh Air: Karl Chew’s Proline-Powered Outdoor Kitchen Lana

We were looking for a large, high-quality, affordable vent hood for our outdoor lanai kitchen and came across the Proline Range Hood. Needed a vent hood that would vent directly through the exterior wall not up through the ceiling, had to be large enough to cover both gas cooktop and grill. Found the model online that seemed to work, called to place order, and explained to customer service what we needed and the rep advised us needed a blower rotation part with the order. The hood arrived in a timely manner, well packed, with no damage at all. 

It took four large men to install this hood and it looks amazing, totally transforming our outdoor kitchen lanai. The indoor kitchen has an induction stove which is okay, but we really enjoy cooking with natural gas and our outdoor lanai kitchen gives us that option. We selected the Proline PLJW 105.60 304ss unit, after installation the outdoor kitchen looks as if was designed perfectly for the space! Not only does it look great, the fan is very quiet given the size, and best of all removes all cooking odor, with absolutely no smell and smoke that you normally see from grilling. Best of all the amount of lighting designed in the vent hood is perfect, we cook dinner after sunset, and not only is the cooking area well-lit lit but the adjacent area countertop/sink area as well. We are very happy with this vent hood and the initial interaction with customer service to help us select the right vent hood/parts to allow us to enjoy our outdoor kitchen lanai. Thank you!

I became hypersensitive to cooking odors which affected my sleep quality during my pregnancy journey. A 1962 Home Renewed: The Loftus Family’s Journey with Proline

Our home was built in 1962, ranch style, at the base of Camelback Mountain in Phoenix. We purchased it in 1996 and it was in near tear-down condition. The first remodel was budget-driven and started falling apart 25 years later. My wife has a great eye for design and we expanded the kitchen by changing the house footprint. The result was a wide-open kitchen space, fantastic for family and great for entertaining. We used a seasoned contractor who had years of experience and top of the line trades who he could depend on. The contractor gutted the house mid-June 2023. We were able to move back in late September. 

The remodel was completed end of October. We had custom white oak and maple cabinets installed and our cabinet maker designed a custom canopy to wrap the 36 “Under-cabinet/wall range hood – PLJW 109.36 in 304 Stainless Steel. It looks amazing and is a centerpiece looking down the kitchen. Guests are drawn to the hood almost immediately. We’ve received lots of compliments on the hood. My wife oversaw the layout and design while I was given full reign on all appliances. I’m an electrical engineer and for months, I dissected and chose each appliance we ended up installing. I was impressed with the Proline hood. It’s quiet, it lights up our 6-burner Bluestar range-top beautifully and it effortlessly removes the smoke when (my wife is) cooking. LOL

Howard Richardson’s Kitchen Upgrade: Out with the Microwave, In with Proline

When our kitchen was rebuilt, there was a microwave above the stove. When we would cook, that microwave would not draw out the smoke. We researched online and also talked to a contractor who directed us to Proline. After receiving it, I was amazed at the packaging and how supported it was in the box. We installed it with very few problems. All the problems were mine, sometimes my measuring tape is off haha. 

Once installed, I was amazed at the draw from the stove. We are so happy with our purchase, it cured the problem of fish smells and everything else coming off that stove. While installing the stove, I had one question and called up the phone number for help. Very professional and they answered my questions without hesitation. I definitely tell everyone who needs a hood to purchase a Proline hood.
