Decor items help tie a space together and add warmth and personality. While some pieces are impossible to replicate 1 to 1. You can get really close with very little effort.

Game Board

So you love to host parties and game nights? This convertible game table from Wayfair would be a perfect addition to any game room or open living area. It features billiards, ping pong, and an air hockey table. All three of the game surfaces store neatly inside the table for convenient organization.

If you don’t want to spend 3 grand on a gaming table, but still want a stand-out area to play games, this DIY Giant Wall Scrabble Game Board is amazing. It’s hilariously large, making it a functional centerpiece for any living room. Because it hangs, you can easily play with multiple guests without the need for a large room or table. The classic look and the ever-changing board make this project a living art piece.

L.E.D. “Neon” Sign 

L.E.D “neon” signs are an easy way to bring a bit of artsy fun into any space. They act well as side art but because they are LED and use very little energy, you can leave them on as accent lighting at night. To buy a professionally made one though is not cheap. This sign from Wayfair is almost $500. 

You can create one yourself for far less using this guide from Kayla Faith. We think her DIY signs look equally as cool, and keeping $400 in your pocket is a major plus.

Palette Coasters 

Everyone needs coasters, especially if you spend multiple hours building your perfect table. These coasters from Wayfair are beautifully handpainted in India. If you can’t bare to think of all that hard work being ruined by a couple of glasses of water, make these coasters at home instead. They’re super cheap to do but very stylish. Though these coasters are small, natural wood in any amount makes space better.

SUNBURST MIRROR

Open up a room with these great-looking sunburst mirrors. Sunburst mirrors in themselves give a room a breath of air. They’re large and usually the center point of a room. This burnt copper mirror from Wayfair is large at 40” and heavy, it’s made entirely of metal. You will need to secure it with nails at multiple points. If you live in an apartment though, this DIY version will better suit you. It’s made out of wood and other craft materials but with enough effort will still look great!

Mirrored Door Accent Cabinet

Accent tables are a great way to well…accent a room. For smaller rooms, these mirrored tables will help bounce light helping a room to breathe. This Gray Bouchie accent table from Wayfair is beautiful, but you can save a few hundred dollars by following this DIY guide by designedtodwell.com. Projects like these are where you can completely duplicate a style or add your own flair. Either way, you’ll end up with a beautiful accent table.

Hour Glass 

Hourglasses are cute and simple. They’re classic space fillers and look great on a shelf next to a couple of old reads. The Green Nanayaw Sand Timer Hourglass from Wayfair is gorgeous, that green is to die for, and is relatively cheap at $18. If you want to go for something a little more eclectic though,  this easy DIY version will only take you a few minutes.

Cork Lettering 

If you drink wine, I’m sure you’ve amassed a collection of cork. Instead of shoving them into a drawer upcycle cork. You can create a variety of different objects. Cork crafts, especially lettering, have been a decor trend for a while. Cork provides the same “warmth” that wood does so use it freely.  The combination wine holder and cork saver is a great way to display a bottle of wine. If you don’t need the display aspect though, this cork display by craft cuts is wonderfully rustic. (We love the range of colors the wine-stained cork gives you.

Wall Sconce

Wall sconces are essential lanterns designed to look good inside the home. Because they’re high up, they are great places to hang candles and scent sticks. This three-post metal sconce from Wayfair is very modern and super chic. For a more rustic look, we like the DIY version by diyinspired.com

Whichever version you choose, you may be tempted to use sconces as nightlights, but please don’t unless you’re using LED candles.

Address Plaque

A well-done wall address plaque can do a lot to improve a home’s curb appeal. These two plant hangers address plaques are cute small auditions to your entrance. The Vista View from Wayfair is a great-looking plaque. It can also fit a couple of small succulents. If you like the look, but need space for a few more plants, this address planter guide from the wonder forest can be manipulated to fit your needs.

 Industrial Mirror

We definitely saved the best for last. Large mirrors are hard to find. But these two mirrors from Wayfair and DIYed by the Sorry Girls, have stolen our hearts. The Camber full-length mirror is gorgeous and would instantly add a dose of opulence to any room. At almost 1,100 dollars though, this mirror is out of reach for most of us. (Though if you have a home large enough to fit a mirror this large you probably can afford it.) 

The Sorry Girls did a great job with this industrial-inspired mirror. The best thing about this is you can scale it to fit your needs. At any size, the sharp, square, industrial look of this mirror will add a modern touch to any room.
